The birth of their first child shows their residence as Port Tobacco, which was in St. Marys County, Maryland. An abstract of the will of Ignatius Wheeler of Charles County, Maryland, shows it was written 14 Mar 1698/99 and proved 3 Aug 1699. - To son Luke Wheeler, my home plantation viz 600 A. called "Planter's Delight" also part of tract called "Rich Neck" which I got though (through) marriage with my wife & which lies in St. Clements Manor in St. Marys County also one negro.
