![]() Born 1740 Buncombe, North Carolina, died 1810 Buncombe, North Carolina, 69 or 70 years George Rogers, son of John Rogers, was born in Virginia about 1740. He married Elizabeth Losson/Lawson in 1760 and they migrated to Buncombe County where he died about 1800. His widow, who was born in 1738, later moved to Kentucky where she died in the year 1841 age 103. George and his sons owned land on the Little Ivy River, on both sides of Caney River and on Mine Fork of Jack's Creek at the beginning of the 1800s. Most of the family had moved on to Clay County, Kentucky before 1820. Another distant cousin says George was son of John, b. 1717 son of the 1680 John Rogers. Careful here - The attempts to connect this fellow to the John Rogers mentioned above runs afowl of the birth dates. It would be nice if this connected as it would bring him into the Bullock family but not so...
